The 9th Sino-German Joint Symposium on Opto- and Microelectronic Devices and Circuits (SODC 2016) organized by C-UFO was held on Sept 25-30, 2016, in Changchun. The main objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for scientists between China and German to present their cutting-edge researches on optoelectronics and microelectronics. The universities and institutes includes Jilin Univ., Tsinghua Univ., Peking Univ., University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, USTC, Institute of Microelectronics CAS, Institute of Semiconductor CAS, and Forschungszentrum Jülich, RWTH Aachen University, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology , Université Paris Sud, University of Stuttgart, and so on. The scientists at two sides have in-depth discussions on many topics. The symposium also provided a great opportunity for future research collaborations. In the conferences, 78 abstracts were received. 43 scientists are invited to give their presentations on their most recent research progresses.
