The 33rd International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors (ICPS) was hold in Beijing from July 31st to August 5th, 2016. Dr. Xian-Bin Li and other three PhD students: Dan Wang, Nian-Ke Chen and Xue-Peng Wang attened the conference. Dr. Xian-Bin Li gave an invited talk about our recent research progresses on phase change memory physics and new design. Besides, PhD. student Dan Wang gave a talk about defect calculations in 2D materials. Nian-Ke Chen and Xue-Peng Wang also gave a poster presentation. All of them benefits a lot from the discussions and talks given by the famous physicists, such as Nobel Prize winner: K. von Klitzing, A. Geim, H. Amano and S. Nakamura. Furthermore, Xue-Peng Wang also received the best student poster award.
ICPS has been the most famous scholar conference on semiconductor physics in the world during the past 60 years. It is the premier meeting for reporting all aspects of semiconductor physics including electronic, structural, optical, magnetic and transport properties.
