Prof. Katsuhiko Ariga from NIMS visited C-UFO

Prof. Katsuhiko Ariga, from National Institute for Materials Science(NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan, visited C-UFO on 6th October, 2015. He also gave a public talk on "Hand-Operating Nanotechnology: Low-Tech-Driven Most-Energy-Efficient Molecular Technology".

   

    Prof. Katsuhiko Ariga is a  leading world-recognized scientist in  the field of supramolecular chemistry, surface science, and nanomaterials.  He  received  his  PhD  in  1990  in Tokyo  Institute of Technology. In 1992-1998 he was JST Group Leader (Supermolecules Project) and CREST Researcher. Since 2007 he was a principal investigator, MANA, NIMS. From 2014 he was awarded as Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry, and Highly Cited Researcher (Thompson Reuter) One of world’s most influential researchers. So far, he has published over 500 papers, which have been cited over 20000 times, and his H-Index is 77. He is currently the editorial advisory board member of Advanced Materials and Chemistry of Materials and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, associate Editor of Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, and section Editor of Chemistry Letters.
