Prof. Hong Minghui from NUS visits C-UFO

Prof. Hong, from National University of Singapore (NUS) visited C-UFO on 21th July, 2014 and gave the public talk on "Laser Precision Engineering: from Microprocessing to Nanofabrication ". Prof. Hong-Bo Sun hosted the talk.


Prof. Hong Minghui specializes in laser microprocessing & nanofabrication, optical engineering and applications. He has co-authored 10 book chapters, 24 patents granted, 250+ scientific papers in Nature, Chemical Reviews, Nature Communications, Nano Letters, Laser & Photonics Reviews, Biomaterials, SMALL, Biomacromolecules, PRB, APL, JAP and APA etc., and 30+ plenary/keynote/invited talks in international conferences. He is a member of organizing committees for Laser Precision Micromachining International Conference (2001~2012), International Symposium of Functional Materials (2005 and 2007), Co-chair of International Workshop of Plasmonics and Applications in Nanotechnologies (2006) and Chair of Conference on Laser Ablation (2009). He was invited to be a Peer Reviewer of European Science Foundation (2002~2012) projects and workshops, and ASTAR SERC Public Sector Funding Project Reviewer (2009~2011). Prof. Hong is invited to serve as an Associated Editor of International Journal of Optomechatronics, Editor of Laser Micro/nanoengineering, Editor of Journal of Nanoengineering and Nanomanufacturing, Guest Editor of Applied Physics A and Industrial Laser Users. He is Simon Industrial and Professional Fellow, the University of Manchester, UK; Guest Professor of Univ. of Science & Technology of China; Guest Professor of Xiamen University and Visiting Professor of Institute of Optoelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Hong is OSA Fellow and SPIE Fellow.
