The Third Natianal Symposium on Ultrafast Spectroscopy had been hold in Hefei from August 19th to 21st, 2016. Six students include Hai Wang, Zhen-Yu Zhang, Yan Wang, Yuan-Yuan Yue, Yan-Xia Zhang and Kai-Jiao Li attended this conference. During the meeting, Hai Wang gave a talk related to dynamics of strong coupling between surface plasmons and J-aggregate molecules. In addition, Zhen-Yu Zhang, Yan-Xia Zhang and Yuan-Yuan Yue gave a poster presentation. This conference focus on the subject of ultrafast spectroscopy. In particular, in memory of Nobel Prize-winning Caltech scientist Ahmed Zewail, professor Dong-Ping Zhong from Ohio State University introduced the life of professor Zewail. All of them benefits a lot from the talks and discussions in the conference.

The Natianal Symposium on Ultrafast Spectroscopy has been successfully hosted two times at Renmin University of China (2013) and the Institute of Physics, CAS (2014). It has become a good platform for academic exchanges for the researchers in the field of ultrafast spectroscopy. The conference included sessions on a wide range of topics: transient absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, femtosecond time-resolved Raman spectroscopy, femtobiology, excited state theory and beyond.
