Dr. Xu Shi from Research Institute for Electronic Science, Hokkaido University, Japan, visited C-UFO on 17th July, 2017 and gave the public talk on " Plasmon-induced solar energy conversion on gold nanoparticles loaded semiconductor ". Prof. Qi-Dai Chen hosted the talk.

Dr. Xu Shi received his bachelor and Master degree in 2007 and 2010 in Xi’an Jiaotong University, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Hokkaido University, Japan. Since April 2016, he joined Research Institute for Electronic Science of Hokkaido University as an Assistant Professor. Now, his main research interests are nano optics, photoelectrochemical (surface plasmon resonance enhanced photocatalysis, water splitting and photoelectric detection).
