The 37th Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS) had been hold in Shanghai from August 8th to 11st, 2016. Professor Qi-Dai Chen and other four students include Da Yin, Yu-Shan Liu, Yang Chen and Yuan-Yuan Yue attended this conference. During the meeting, professor Qi-Dai Chen gave an invited report named “Femtosecond Laser Micro-nanofabrication: An Enabler for High-performance Photonics Devices”. In addition, PhD student Da Yin also gave a talk related to the high-efficiency and mechanically robust stretchable organic light-emitting devices under the name of professor Jing Feng. The other students Yu-Shan Liu, Yang Chen and Yuan-Yuan Yue gave a poster presentation. This conference involves a great range of subjects, everyone who had been attended the meeting benefits a lot, it will do much help for their research area.

PIERS provides an international forum for reporting progress and recent advances in the modern development of electromagnetic theory and its new and exciting applications since 1989. Topics include radiation, propagation, diffraction, scattering, guidance, resonance, power, energy and force issues, and all other modern developments, with spectra ranging from statics to RF, microwave, photonics, and beyond.
